Family Nature Hike – Hike with a Sarett Naturalist on our trails and learn about the flora and fauna at Sarett. This will be a family friendly hike!

Crafts and Face Painting – Children’s crafts and face painting will be in the basement classroom of the nature center.

Wagon Rides – Take a wagon ride on Sarett’s Strawberry Lane trail. A naturalist will be onboard to explain about the natural features you pass while you are pulled by our big tractor!

Pond Study – Walk to a pond with a naturalist and use scoop nets to see what aquatic insects are living in our ponds!

Campfire Stu – Michigan-based singer/songwriter, seasoned performer and recently-published author Mike Struwin will perform songs from his debut children’s book and CD Campfire Stu & The Backwoods Jamboree as well as covers. He hopes to kindle a love of reading in children ages 3 to 8 by bringing his Campfire Stu stories to life through interactive and engaging musical interpretations of the book. Not just a children’s book, Campfire Stu is also a musical act appealing to kids and older fans of Jack Johnson, John Prine and Dan Zanes. The interactive songs from Campfire Stu’s debut record help ignite love and respect for nature, community and American Folk music.

Bugs and Blooms Hike – Walk with a naturalist on our trails to learn about the insects and flowers found on the property!

Bird of Prey Program – Learn about the birds of prey that live around southwest Michigan and meet our resident education raptors during this 1-hour program given by a Sarett Naturalist!
